The Friends of Florida, in honor of the birthday of Justin Scott, held a fundraiser for Boys’ Town. There was lots of food, fun, and dancing as part of the celebration. Boys’ Town thanks Friends of Florida for their kindness, and features pictures.

Vocational Training Centre – Heart NTA

The Vocational Training Centre is one of the twenty six training institutions that is fully owned and operated by the HEART Trust/NTA. The Centre caters to persons seventeen years and older to access its training programmes, this is achieved by accomplishing one of the following two criteria:
  • Obtain passes in at least one CXC or an equivalent qualification.
  • Obtain a pass in an international administered test set at grade 9 level.

Boys’ Town clip Arnett in Trench Town derby

Monday, November 30, 2015 BOYS’ Town FC defeated Arnett Gardens FC 1-0 as a 35th-minute goal by Peter Keyes unlocked the Arnett Gardens defence in their Red Stripe Premier League match at the Barbican Stadium yesterday. It was a brilliant goal constructed by the skilful Adrian King, who did good work before picking out the overlapping Xavean Virgo, who in turn, teed up Keyes to slot ‘home’…

Four student from Boys’ Town All Age School visited the University of the West Indies to participate in a Science Workshop. The students learned about many aspects of Science while also getting hands on experience with tools used by scientists.

Every year the Toronto chapter of the Friends of Boys’ Town hosts a golf tournament to raise funds that goes to assisting various programs at Boys’ Town Jamaica. These pictures are from this year’s tournament. This year Desmond Clarke took the award as Boys’ Town champion for 2014 as a second time winner from 2010. Overall winners of the cup include Alvyn Jackson, Desmond Clarke, Karl Killingbeck and Tim Escoffery.
